Erik the Red was brought up in South-West Norway but was outlawed for murdering a man. He is mostly famous for leading a fleet of 25 ships to a land in which he called "Greenland" which started the flourishing colony. After he was finished as a viking he worked and owned his own farm until his death.
Harald hardrada
Harald Hardrada was born in Ringerike Norway. He is known as a famous viking mainly for the fact that he was ruler of Norway. As ruler of Norway he led an expidition to England in 1066. He was killed in battle on Stamford Bridge by Harold Godwinson.
Canute
Canute was born in Denmark and was famous for continuing his father, Swein Forkbeard's legacy. He defeated king Olaf the second at the battle of Stiklestad in Norway in 1030 where he then became king of Norway.
sweyn forkbeard
Sweyn Forkbeard was one of the most successful kings of Denmark. As king he pushed the Germans out of Jutland and started attacking his neighbors. In 1000 he took part in a battle of Svolder. He killed thus defeating Olaf Tryggvasion who was the king of Norway. He died in 1014 at Gainsborough.
